Goodbye
Hello
Oh this is just Husstacular
There is significant flooding at the building that hosts the MSPA server. The generators that are currently providing power to the customer equipment can only provide a few more hours of life, and it looks like the servers may be shut down as early as 12:30am Eastern. It is not currently known…
DAMN YOU SANDYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!

EOA5 Assets! 2/2
I was paralyzed with excitement when Andrew asked me to design LOLAR and LOFAF, both the planets and some of the vistas which you can see different versions of.
There were a few drafts of LOFAF, since it had a lot of different weather conditions. At first I had it mostly covered in snow except for the part with the volcano, where small lakes were staring to appear. Andrew wanted less snow, so I went the opposite direction of it being snowy and had a more barren landscape underneath. Finally we settled on a much more swampy, green landscape. Unfortunately, almost none of the LOFAF vistas got used. The remaining element from the design for LOLAR were the golden clouds, and I’m damn proud of those golden clouds!
I had the most fun designing LOLAR and the Space explosion which he only described as being a huge galaxy sized explosion in space. LOLAR was especially fun as I had imagined that 95% of the planet was comprised of water which dripped out in every direction in to space. The small detail of every lake on LOFAF being lily pad shaped made it extra fun to do. The vista of the green city was fun to do and I loved designing what I called “Scratch tower”. I still can’t quite place what it reminds me of. Maybe Sonic the Hedgehog?Overall, the experience was pretty boundary stretching, as I had to learn how to do a lot of stuff for the very first time and do it as quickly as I could. It was definitely a challenge getting myself to crank them out as fast as I could, which was a goal I had set for myself at the beginning of the asset creation process. I’m glad to have been a part of Cascade! It was a blast!
